Giving

Give to Germanic & Slavic Studies

Gifts for support to the department are sincerely appreciated and assist us in our quest to provide an excellent learning, research and creative environment for our students. Every gift makes a difference.

Your generous support helps us maintain and develop a vibrant intellectual environment that attracts both undergraduate and graduate students. Your gift makes it possible for us to invite internationally renowned scholars, writers and artists; it helps us to retain first-rate students and to offer two excellent language programs in German and Russian. Scholarships, fellowships, innovative teaching methodology and technology can also be enhanced by your gift. You can always specify how your funds should be utilized within the department.

Donations can be made online, via mail, or by phone and can be used in any of the categories below:

Student Support – both undergraduate and graduate students benefit.

Graduate studies are a key component of the department. Your gift can help us to compete with other institutions and to recruit graduate students of outstanding caliber from out of state and internationally. To maintain the highest standards of research and instruction, support for current and prospective students is a priority.

Faculty Support – endowed chairs and visiting professorships. Your support will make it possible to enhance research opportunities and instructional development for both in-house and visiting faculty.

Departmental/Program Support – equipment, facilities and technological needs. Resources aid in acquiring the best and most innovative enhancements to the program.
